The Wedding

On Saturday Crickette and Vince got married. Crickette hired me to help out on the day, to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible. I was really nervous about it.I started to wonder if I would really be much help at all. As it turns out, I worked my butt off! Not only that, I worked other people's butts off too! I would definitely only work a wedding of someone I really care about! It is really hard work!!! Despite the hard work, I had a really wonderful time!

I played with flowers, helped decimate a blue cake, got complimented on my cleavage (by a girl, but still, admiration is admiration LOL), and I even caught the bouquet! I ended up giving a flower off my bouquet to another lady there. She's never been married (a tidbit I discovered when we were jokingly fighting over who would catch the bouquet). I figure she deserves a chance at it too. The great thing was, she was truly touched that I gave her the rose. It just made me feel really good.

I got a little teary during the ceremony, but not because I felt sad - it was the normal "Oh look at that - LOVE!" kind of teariness.
I love weddings. I just love everything about them...

And honestly, the whole thing gives me some hope for the future. It is Crickette's second marriage after all. In fact, thinking on it now, many of my friends are quite blissful in their second marriages...I was pretty damned blissful in my first...maybe just maybe there is even more bliss in my future?

I can't even imagine.
