A Cracked Egg

Funny what a few extra carbs can do. I am feeling so very much better!
After doing some research I discovered that people who have a tendency towards depression and anxiety can have serious problems with low carb diets. It is a shame, since they work so well so quickly...but I what is the point in losing weight if you are so miserable you can't enjoy anything, even the weight loss. Yup, it is true. I lost 8lbs and was depressed about it. Isn't that awful?

I'm so glad I am feeling like myself again. I hated this past week. It reminded me of how I used to be, who I used to be, and I didn't like it one bit. I am no longer the girl who freaks out about little things, has breakdowns, can't handle anything, feels sad and depressed about life circumstances, etc.

I am the woman who can handle just about anything, and still smile about 90% of the time. I like that much better.

One thing this little episode has shown me, is how very far I have come.
Another thing it has shown me, is that we all crack every now and then. How wonderful to have friends and family who love us, through it all.

So, to my fellow cracked eggs, remember this:

When the Japanese mend broken objects, they aggrandize the damage by filling the cracks with gold. They believe that when something’s suffered damage and has a history it becomes more beautiful,” Barbara Bloom
