I Heart Mark

No, I don't know his last name...But I heart him anyway.

Who is Mark you ask?

He is the guy from the bank who has called me twice now. He sounds very nice, and oh so very cute. Dreamy even. Sure he could be 50 (sounds younger though), or 20, probably happily married with 2.5 kiddos (well, maybe not if he's 20, but you get my point here I am sure).

Still...my heart goes pitter-patter when I see "Unavailable Number" pop up on the cell phone screen...it could be him!

"This is Mark....[edited conversation]..."

me - *dreamy sigh* "Yes, you've called before"

"I have?"

me - (Like I would forget THAT voice!?) *Sounding maybe a little too delighted* "You sure have!"

Yes, I have a crush on the anonymous bank guy...well, not anonymous, his name is Mark.

Would it be weird if I asked him out next time he calls?

But, he might not call again. Our last conversation sounded...final.

"Ok, well, thank you so much for your help Sandra, have a nice day."

Me - (Oh no...he's hanging up already!?) *Sounding a teeny bit more disappointed than I probably should* "You too Mark, bye..."

....dial tone....

Ah well...maybe it just wasn't meant to be.
