Michigan

Michigan was beautiful.
It was cold too, though not as cold as I hoped...er...expected it would be. It did not snow.
It reminded me a little of Kentucky.
It made me wish I wasn't living in FL. Oh how I miss the seasons. It made me wonder if I will be stuck here forever.
But then, coming home to this gorgeous day and bright blue sky I thought "Oh, the colors are just so much brighter here!"
I do like the grass better there though...not that it's greener, just softer. ;)

I had a lot of fun, and the plumpkin did too. It was a wonderful adventure with him, and I can't wait to go on another! A trip to Kentucky may be coming very soon!

I did have a sad moment. Well, two actually. One was in the car listening to this awful love song where this guy was singing about how perfect and beautiful and wonderful his woman is and how much he loves her...it reminded me of some of the things Drew used to say. I cried.

The other moment was on the same day...already all mushy from that damn song...it was a little boy's birthday party...families everywhere...complete families...happy families...and the daddy was helping the boy open his presents and mommy was laughing at their matching expressions of excitement and taking pictures and video...the little boy was so happy...everyone was so happy...
It tore at my heart.
What a lucky little boy. And not because he had a mountain of gifts...
